This is my bearblog, my living and evolving place on the web. Where I want to post my ideas, frustrations, doubts and other brainstorms. Recently I have ditched my smartphone, and I am in the process of deleting my Insta and Reddit accounts. I am done with the dead-internet and social media algorithms. I’ve started a collective for people in The Netherlands, and more locally in Groningen who also want to stop using their smartphone. It’s a community where we can discuss alternatives to smartphones, to talk about our relationship with technology, how we can regain a healthier balance with it, and to come together physically every once in a while to meet offline.
My hopes for this blog are to have a collection of journaling posts, to post the start of some political articles or manifests, to host my photoblog, and to have a collection of awesome links from the living web, as well as collect quotes from books I read. I enjoy coming in contact with people from the living-web, so at some points I might add a guestbook or a slow chat room thingy.
I want to create more and consume less.
why do I often use lowercase instead of normal capitalisation? Because it is anti-hierarchical and anticapitalist. A sense of chaos and informality is exactly what the internet needs, a refusal to formalise
I decided to make this blog in English instead of Dutch, mostly so it is accessible to a more international audience. I enjoy reading blogs from Europeans, but they often use their native language which can be a barrier for foreign readers.

Would love to hear from you so send me an email or follow my RSS
